Training: Choosing the proper training method is an important decision to make when it comes to your dog. Each dog has a different learning style, personality, and optimal learning environment just like we do! We provide both Classes and 1 on 1 Training so that you can choose the best option for you and for your dog. We teach the importance of balance, companionship, and bonding, and focus on trust, not control.

Classes: Whether you have a new puppy in need of basic training or your dog needs a refresher, the certified staff provides exceptional training classes that focus on cultivating trust and companionship between you and your dog. Our classes teach you what to do, why it’s important, and how to create a lifelong bond with your canine companion. Classes take place on either Tuesdays or Thursdays and last for 4 weeks, and your dog will receive a certificate upon completion! For class dates, check out our Events page.

• Confident Canine 1: This class teaches basic obedience. Your dog will learn commands such as sit, down, come, stay, and off, as well as how to walk on a leash. Confident Canine 1 is best for dogs ages 12 weeks – 1 year.
• Confident Canine 2: In Confident Canine 2, we will revisit and solidify all of the basic commands covered in Confident Canine 1. We’ll also learn some new commands, like play nice, leave it, no bark, etc. Additionally, we’ll learn to walk in the heel position, sit front, sit side, back up, and extended stays in the sit and down positions. We’ll work on giving all of these commands from a distance. Confident Canine 2 is best for dogs aged 1 and older.

1 on 1 Training: In some cases, it’s easier for dogs to focus and be trained in a one-on-one atmosphere. Our popular 1 on 1 Training program is personalized to match the needs and personality of you and your dog and will give you the confidence to eventually join a group class. 1 on 1 Training focuses on behavior modification and provides a setting in which he/she can have optimal concentration on learning. We recommend 1 on 1 Training for dogs with behavior problems that have been learned and need to be unlearned. 1 on 1 dog training is available for all levels of learning, basic through advanced.

Board & Train: Our Board & Train program allows your dog to have 1 on 1 Training while he/she stays at our facility. The program lasts for 6 weeks and is personalized to meet the needs of you and your dog. This provides a focused, distraction-free setting in which your dog can learn and retain the necessary skills. The price of the Board and Train program includes exit sessions.

Scent Work Classes: Canine scent work is a fun search and scenting activity for virtually all dogs. We will build on each dog’s natural instinct to hunt and teach them to trust their own scenting abilities. An exciting winter activity that exercises your dog’s mind and body.
